EB-1A & EB-2 NIW Green Cards
Two of the most powerful paths to a US green card for high-achieving professionals — both let qualified applicants self-petition, without an employer sponsor or a labor certification. The VisaWizard evaluates your résumé against the exact criteria USCIS uses.
EB-1A
Extraordinary Ability
For individuals at the very top of their field in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. You must show sustained national or international acclaim — either a major one-time achievement (e.g. a Nobel Prize) or by meeting at least 3 of 10 regulatory criteria.
- ✓Awards & recognition for excellence
- ✓Membership in associations requiring outstanding achievement
- ✓Published material about you in major media
- ✓Judging the work of others in your field
- ✓Original contributions of major significance
- ✓Authorship of scholarly articles
EB-2 NIW
National Interest Waiver
For advanced-degree professionals or those with exceptional ability whose work serves the US national interest. The NIW waives the job offer and labor certification. Eligibility follows the three-prong Matter of Dhanasar test:
- ✓Your endeavor has substantial merit and national importance
- ✓You are well positioned to advance that endeavor
- ✓On balance, it benefits the US to waive the job-offer requirement
